His Holiness the Dalai Lama Admitted To Hospital In Delhi With Chest Infection
“His Holiness was feeling some discomfort this morning in Dharamsala. As a precaution, we came down to Delhi,” Tenzin Taklha, his private secretary said.
“He will be spending the next two to three days in the hospital,” Dalai Lama’s secretary said.
NEW DELHI: Tibetan spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama, was admitted to a private hospital in New Delhi on Tuesday with a chest infection.
“His Holiness was feeling some discomfort this morning in Dharamsala. As a precaution, we came down to Delhi,” Tenzin Taklha, his private secretary, told news agency IANS.
He said the spiritual leader has been diagnosed with a chest infection.
“He will be spending the next two to three days in the hospital under medical treatment,” he added.
We had learned that the octogenarian Tibetan leader is admitted at the Max Super Specialty hospital in Saket, South Delhi. His personal physician Dr. Sadhutsang Tsetan Dorjee said that the Tibetan leader has a minor infection in the lungs after he contracted cold and fever.
“There is no need to worry as there is no major concerns for Kundun’s health. He has a minor chest infection and a little fever from what seems to be a case of common cold. He will be recuperating here (Max hospital) for a few days and will be kept under observation,” Dr. Tsetan said.
The Dalai Lama had returned to Dharamsala on Monday only after meeting youth global leaders in New Delhi on April 7.
